Every Monday from 11:00 - 1:00 we offer take out lunches only due to Covid 19 concerns by some to the less fortunate and those who just need a nourishing meal and a hug to come and enjoy a warm healthy, vegetarian meal and loving fellowship.
We see many of the same faces weekly and the same smiles that thank us for opening our church and sharing a hot meal with them. People really appreciate the effort spent to have a healthy vegetarian meal, which they don't get at any other shelter or facility. They seem to truly enjoy the uniqueness of our soup kitchen.
Beautiful and helpful literature is handed out to anyone who needs encouragement or answers to many questions. All are welcomed. It's part of sharing the love of Jesus with those in need.
We have a faithful crew each Monday who dedicate their energy and time to come serve. We often get a bigger blessing by serving than our guests by eating.
It's an unknown as to how many to prepare for each week, but we usually prepare for around 60 and feed that amount and more each week. We've never run out of food and our guests really appreciate it. Anyone interested in volunteering on Mondays can just show up, and we'll put you to work! Any donations are also greatly appreciated in order to keep this ministry solvent and giving.
